This checklist is translated from Elements of Effective Practice for Mentoring developed by MENTOR: The National Mentoring Partnership in the USA. MENTOR has led a number of pioneering initiatives for continuous improvement to meet the mentoring organizations' ability to meet the mentoring needs of all individuals.

The checklist is a further development from a larger result of research in practice that leads to lasting and effective mentor relationships. This is something you can use as an indication of how good the program is, but also as a guide and guide for how a mentor program should be, and which areas it pays to focus on and possibly improve, to get a stronger mentor program.

We at Catalysts believed that this is knowledge that everyone who engages in mentoring should have access to, and have therefore in collaboration with MENTOR translated and adapted the checklist to Norwegian conditions.
